Verona Organics is the home-based business of the mother and daughter team
of Kim and Brittney.

We have always been very involved in being environmentally friendly and being fairly
health conscious but in recent years we've had our eyes opened a little bit more in terms
of what we put in and on our bodies like organic foods and body products.

Kim- The Mom- I have worked in health care for my entire adult career from dental
offices to teaching. I then moved to Florida from Canada in 2000 and decided on a
career change into the complementary and alternative field of Chinese Medicine
and Acupuncture. Much of the curriculum taught at Acupuncture school included
herbal studies which piqued my interest in natural medicine where I was able to
see how medicines, teas, and liniments made from plants had such curative powers. 

I was introduced to Aromatherapy by a friend and used some products containing
essential oils made from natural plant materials. The products I used focused on how to
help me relax and concentrate on my studies and some others helped me to stay healthy
and avoid getting colds and flu from classmates. After becoming a licensed acupuncture
physician and starting my own House Call practice I had more time to investigate
Aromatherapy in depth and decided to become a Certified Aromatherapist. 
Realizing that the beautiful aromas of the essential oils I was working with not only
had the emotional and spiritual healing qualities that I already knew they had but
that the chemical constituents of the individual oils had scientifically researched
and proven healing qualities. I found that many had pain and skin healing
qualities, some where anti-infectious and anti-bacterial, some dealt with
digestion and women's issues as well as many more healing qualities. I began
incorporating the aromatherapy liniments, balms, lotions, oils, and inhalers into
the treatments for my patients.

Brittney - The Daughter- I was in my 2nd year of college and saw my mom coming
home from Aromatherapy classes with the beautifully aromatic bath and body products
that she'd made as part of the course. Being a big consumer of all body products in
general, I was intrigued. I tried a few of them and together with mom we made a few
lip balms and body scrubs using only organic and wild-crafted ingredients - most
of the ingredients that I could eat if I chose to- because they were food grade. I then
read the ingredients listed on my purchased products some of which I'd never heard of and
couldn't even pronounce. I certainly wouldn't want to eat any of them! I then investigated
some of their health hazards and couldn't believe that body products could be toxic to
your health and even cause serious health issues. I suggested to my mom that we make
products for friends and family so that they too could benefit from the healthy aspects
of our products and avoid the unhealthy aspects of their's.

After searching and finding very few companies making products from truly organic and
wild crafted ingredients we made the decision to make and sell our own lovingly
handmade creations. We are committed to making handcrafted products made with
organic, wild-crafted,  un-sprayed, sustainably harvested ingredients and create
for you a quality product.
